RECEPTIONIST
Required: 1st October 2019 or sooner Fixed term until 31.8.20 (with the possibility of an extension)
Scale 4: £13,017.39-£13,732.92 (per annum)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week –  9:00am–1.30pm (term time only)

Do you want to work in an excellent school with happy, fun loving children and a dedicated team of supportive staff? We are seeking to appoint a Receptionist to undertake administrative and clerical duties for the school.

Applicants must have:

  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to offer a professional, friendly welcome to all visitors
  • a welcoming phone manner, with an efficient approach to dealing with requests or issues
  • the ability to provide general assistance with administrative tasks to help ensure the smooth running of our busy school office
  • excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise under pressure
  • excellent IT skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, data entry and email programs

Organisation and teamwork are important elements in this post.  You will need to be flexible and have the necessary skills to respond efficiently and effectively to changing and sometimes unexpected work demands.

Finance Assistant

Hours: 20 hours per week – 9.00 am – 1.00 pm (term time only)

The job holder will:

  • work under the guidance of senior staff to undertake financial activities and processes within the school, taking responsibility for financial arrangements relating to school meals, school visits, extra-curricular services, lettings, Breakfast and After School Club.
  • undertake general administrative support in order to contribute to the efficient and effective organisation of a busy school office

Applicants must have:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • experience of development, management and operation of financial management procedures and systems
  • excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise under pressure
  • excellent IT skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office, data entry and email programs
  • a “can do” approach with a commitment to reaching solutions
  • the ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities

The Brook Special School

The Brook Special School – Headteacher PA

Salary £24,572.86 – £26,191.14 (Scale 6, Spinal point 26-28) based on experience

This is a term time post only.

The post holder will primarily be responsible for providing the Headteacher with highly effective support in managing and leading the school.   The responsibilities include dealing with confidential administrative and secretarial services, assist with human resource management, payroll and managing complex SEN administration support such as pupil centre reviews (PCRs), annual reports.

It is expected that the successful candidate will have proven knowledge of school administrative systems, exceptional organisational, communication and IT skills, the ability to work as part of a team, is diplomatic, self-reliant, self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.  Candidate should also have the ability to work well under times of pressure and able to prioritise varied workloads.
